Bronze with dark brown patina, height 7 3/4 in. (20.0 cm), on a marble plinth. Condition: Dust to the interstices, bronze not secured to the plinth. N.B. The subject matter and dimensions of Jeune Femme Nue are similar to Maternité (Mère et Enfants), known to have been modeled by Carpeaux in 1870-72. The edition of bronzes of Jeune Femme Nue were cast in the 1960s by the Valsuani foundry.
