Laboureur was clearly influenced by Toulouse-Lautrec's same-titled color lithograph from Elles , 1896 (Delteil 186). Several prints from the artist's own woodcut series Toilettes from 1907 are also similar in style and composition, as well as another closely-related painting Toilette: Les Cheveux , from 1906 (Laboureur 69).
