Travels to Italy and France also opened new horizons for this gifted artist. In 1926, after returning from Paris, he enrolled at to study architecture at the School of Applied Arts in Prague under Otto Gutfreund One can encounter a number of Wagner's works in public areas of Prague today, such as the Jaroslav Vrchlický memorial in Petřín, the Antonín Dvořák memorial near the Rudolfinum, and the statue of Charles IV in front of the rectorate of Charles Universitz.
