Jusepe de Ribera St. Jerome in the Desert (B. 3; Br. 13) etching with engraving, circa 1624, watermark Fleur-de-Lys in a Shield with Crown, a fairly good impression of the only state, trimmed inside the platemark but retaining a small margin outside the borderline, a small rustmark in the blank area at right, a tiny paper loss in the upper right corner outside the borderline, generally in good condition; with St. Jerome and the Angel (B. 4; Br. 5 IV) fourth, final state; St. Jerome hearing the Trumpet of the Last Judgement (B. 5; Br. 4), later impression, laid down; The Martyrdom of St. Bartholomew (B. 6; Br. 12), later impression, laid down; The Penitence of St. Peter (B. 7; Br. 6 I), first state (of two); Small Grotesque Head (B. 8; Br. 10), trimmed close to the subject above; all by the same hand; and a reversed copy after Ribera of The Drunken Silenus (cf.
