Dr. Annette Seeler, author of the catalogue raisonné of sculpture for Käthe Kollwitz confirms that she has verified the present edition of the model Pietà on the basis of photographs and other documents in comparison with her own materials and considers it, also according to current knowledge, to be an authorized cast.
