"I think the getting up of the book very nice," she writes, "but of course the drawings would look far better and cleaner if they were surrounded by raised mounts". Henry Stacy Marks to whom she inscribes this copy of Language of Flowers, was "her kind mentor and chief adviser" (Spielmann, p.104).
