Kindersley / Inscription De- / signer & Letter- / Cutter in Stone / Wood & Brass." Rough around the edges, general wear, drilled for display. After leaving Eric Gill's employment in 1936, Kindersley set up his first workshop on the River Arun. After the war, he moved to Cambridgeshire; first to the village of Barton, then to Chesterton Tower, and, in 1967, to Victoria Road in Cambridge.
