The Daily Mail Publishing Co., 1899. a folded pamphlet, first edition, 4to, (320 x 250mm), printed in green with a portrait of Kipling to upper cover, facsimile text of the poem on 2 pages, full-page illustration by R. Caton Woodville 4pp., with a duplicate copy. Kipling's patriotic poem was commissioned as part of an appeal by the British newspaper to raise money for soldiers fighting in the Second Boer War and their families.
