Legatura omogenea coeva (tranne Tomo Primo) in cartonato rivestito con carta decorata, al dorso titoli a stampa su tassello cartaceo e segnatura manoscritta su altro tassello, sempre cartaceo. Abrasioni ai piatti, dorsi con qualche menda e strappo. Il Tomo primo presenta legatura ottocentesca in mezza pergamena, carta decorata ai piatti, titolo manoscritto al dorso, numero '1' manoscritto e numero '12' a stampa sempre al dorso; al contropiatto anteriore ex libris 'Biblioteca Caproni Vizzola' con segnatura 'L.1.1. 17512'. Splendido esemplare di questa interessante opera, distinta da un ricco apparato iconografico di carte geografiche, vedute e scene di genere a corredo del testo. L'edizione consta di 38 tomi più un ultimo, il Trentesimo nono , composto da supplementi sovente rilegati in altrettanti volumi, per un totale di 42: il nostro esemplare ne è privo. Nei primi 5 volumi del 1781 compare come stampatore il nome di Rinaldo Benvenuti, in realtà un prestanome di Vincenzo Formaleoni che a partire dal 1782 stampa con il proprio nome ed è anche Autore di numerose aggiunte (cfr. The first volume presents a nineteenth-century half-vellum binding, decorated paper on the covers, ink title on the spine, ink number '1' and number '12' printed on the spine; on the front pastedown ex libris 'Biblioteca Caproni Vizzola' with note 'L. 1. 1. 17512'. Beautiful copy of this interesting work, enriched by an illustration system of maps, views and scenes as kit of the text. The edition counts 38 volumes plus one more, the thirty-ninth volume, composed by four supplements bound in as many volumes, for a total of 42 volumes: our copy miss these last volumes.
