chromolithographs and photogravures, lot of 25, an assortment of images from the Bureau of American Ethnology Annual Reports, The Pacific Monthly and others. This is a fine representation of many Indian tribes including the Pawnee, Arapahoe, Hopi, Sioux, Cheyenne, and others. Indian chiefs, ceremonial implements, and tools are adorned in rich shades of sienna, red, and blue; each providing a realistic glimpse into the American Indian culture. Indian Chief Kill Spotted Horse, Chief White Buffalo, and Chief Red Cloud are included. Also, Chief Wolf Robe, Spotted Elk and Sitting Bull. Copyrights include T. Sinclair & Son, F.A. Rinehart, and E.S Curtis. Chromolithographs and photogravures are 7 x 9", 7.75 x 11.25", and 7 x 10". Also included are two platinum photographs of Hopi Indian women, Hopi Girl With Squash Blossom Necklace, embossed on lower right side with the signature of J.R. Willis Gallup, 9.25 x 15". Second photograph is of a happy young Pueblo woman in the foreground covering herself with a lightly colored blanket with a village in the background, 8.5 x 13.75". Condition: Toning and some tearing on edges on chromolithographs and photogravures. A few have tiny holes. Large photograph of Hopi woman has four masked areas with tearing behind and two creases. Photo of Pueblo woman has two small chips and a crease on lower left side.
