Lot of 15 daguerreotypes, mostly sixth plates with the exception of three ninth plates. Most housed in full or half pressed paper cases, though two are under mat and glass only. These portraits feature men and women wearing noteworthy accessories or clothing with unusual accents, including large brooches, statement necklaces, gloves, canes, or intricately patterned trimmings. Of note in this collection are images of a dapper, mustachioed gentleman with a top hat and pocket watch; a lady in a hat and coat lushly trimmed in fur; a young man sporting a large bow-tie accented with an eagle-shaped pin; a rotund gentleman with thick eyebrows and a cane; and an older woman with a bracelet and large brooch, both sharply tinted in red, under a mat stamped for Walsh.
