A Speech Delivered in the Starr-Chamber, On Wednesday, the XIVth of June, MDCXXXVII, at the censure of John Bastwick, Henry Burton, and William Prinn, London, by Richard Badger, 1637, 4° (G3-L4 wormed at lower margin), contemporary speckled calf, upper cover with gilt monogram of the Earl of Essex, surmounted by a coronet (spine worn, covers slightly wormed). [STC 15306] Provenance : "Algernon Capell, [2nd] Earl of Essex, Viscount Maldon, & Baron Capell of Hadham, 1701" (bookplate), possibly by descent from Arthur Capel, Lord Capel of Hadham (?1610-49), a royalist leader who was beheaded along with the Duke of Hamilton and the Earl of Holland.
