Provenance : Ellen Dakin (19th-century signature on title) -- From the Library of John Jackson (1793-1875) of Academy Place, Warrington (bookplate). Fourth edition. BROWN, George (1650-1730). Arithmetica infinita or the Accurate Accomptant's Best Companion . [Edinburgh]: for the author, 1718. Oblong 12°. ENGRAVED THROUGHOUT save for a letterpress commendatory letter to the author from John Keill bound between the engraved portrait and the title (top line on one leaf cropped and a few signatures shaved or cropped). Later 18th-century sheep gilt (rebacked, slightly worn, covers becoming loose). Provenance : From the Library of John Jackson (1793-1875) of Academy Place, Warrington (bookplate). FIRST EDITION.
