W.C. CORLEY/CO B 47th GA. Regt" on the other, numbered "175" on the ricasso, and a steel scabbard with brass fittings, blade lg. 30, overall lg. 35 1/2 in. Provenance: The collection of Nicholas A. Penachio. Note: Walter Corley enlisted in 1862 and was a Sergeant in B company until promoted to Second Lieutenant in 1863.
