Carayon, front cover with a large rectangular sunken panel containing a design engraved cuir-ciselé in light brown leather and tinted in various colors, in the foreground being flowering tree-branches through which one reads a sign post bearing the title of the work, in the middle and background is a grazing cow with landscape and outline of a village, spine blind-lettered, green silk doublures and endleaves, edges gilt. Provenance : Carl J. Ulmann (bookplate, pencil note on flyleaf; his sale Parke Bernet, 15 April 1952, Emil Offenbacher agent). LIMITED EDITION, number 115 of 140 copies on papier vélin à la forme. A note written on the flyleaf by Carl J. Ulmann notes that "The French binder Mr. Pilon claims that the picture on leather is also made by Lepère." IN FINE CONDITION.
