[Passau: Johann Petri, 1490-91.] First edition of Lochmaier’s first printed work, in a contemporary binding. Michael Lochmaier, a professor of canon law and theology, was one of the most prominent members of the University of Vienna and a canon of the cathedral of Passau. Johann Petri was the second printer at Passau, after Benedictus Mayr, and between 1485 and 1493 produced about thirty books there.
