Lot of 10 books by James Purdy plus one book of essays about Purdy. One of the most influential writers of the second half of the twentieth century avant garde, Purdy signed most of these to his friend, Darrell Herron, both paper and hardbound versions. Since Purdy's death in 2009, he is becoming increasingly collectible, as a new generation rediscovers his vernacular style and somewhat dark view of society.
