Lot consists of: (A) Third Reich lightweight Fire Police helmet, (B) German World War II Navy pith helmet, and (C) German World War II Heer pith helmet. (A) Third Reich double decal M34 helmet which appears to be unmarked. Shell exterior retains 60-65% of its original black paint with freckling and patina overall, with some areas harshly cleaned. The interior retains approximately 75% of its black paint, with freckling, dust, and dirt. Original dark brown unmarked liner and head pad are present, with moderate to heavy wear, age and staining. Remnants of the drawstring are present. Pebbled black leather chinstrap is present with moderate wear, cracking, and with freckled fittings. Police decals rates 65-70% remaining, party decals rate 85-90%. CONDITION: Overall very good. (B) Kriegsmarine pith helmet with the less common variant of double shields. Helmet is constructed of a heavy tan cotton material with light wear and damage, with the entire top being crushed with a damaged core. A green cotton lining covers the interior and only exhibits light staining. Leather liner band is buckled. Helmet trim is a light brown leather with moderate wear and damage. Brown leather chinstrap with brass fittings is attached with light wear. Both the national colors and Kriegsmarine are the less common type, are originally attached, and retain approximately 95% of their painted finish. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. (C) Unissued Heer pith helmet constructed in an olive felt with light wear, staining, and several crushed areas (moderately over national colors, and two light ones on rear top). A green cotton lining covers the interior and only exhibits light staining. Center is in an undamaged red felt. Leather liner band is in tan leather and undamaged. Helmet trim is an olive leather with light wear and damage. Green leather chinstrap with is attached with light wear, and freckled steel fittings. Both the national colors and Heer aluminum emblems are originally attached, with the Heer one being bent with a missing prong from being crushed. Both retain 90-95% of their painted finish.
