Lot consists of: (A) Early Imperial German Prussian Cavalry Lion Head Sword, (B) Imperial German Bavarian sword, and (C) Imperial German Prussian Artillery Dove Head Sword. (A) Prussian Officer deluxe Lion Head sword with partially triple etched "Aachen, Germany" made 28" blade, with moderate runner and scattered marks. Officer's name is present but illegible. Nickel plated blade has several dings on the edge with etched floral pattern and cavalry equipment on 20% of the blade, and overall very good. Deluxe brass fittings retain approximately 50% of their gilt finish. Wire-wrapped leather grip displays moderate wear and damage, with a number of strands missing, loose, and damaged. Steel scabbard has patina, freckling and marks throughout with a dozen light and moderate dings. Brass fittings exhibit patina. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. (B) Imperial German Bavarian Officer sword with a 30" partially double etched unmarked blade. Nickel plated blade is excellent, has very light runner and scattered marks, and has an 7" etched panel on each side with a floral pattern and "In Treue fest" inscription. Wire wrapped black trylon grip is intact with several loose strands, and the deluxe nickel fittings have a uniform patina. Black painted steel scabbard retains approximately 80% of its original finish, with freckling and scattered marks throughout. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent condition. (C) Prussian Artillery double etched dove head sword with a 31" unmarked blade. Nickel plated blade is very good, with light runner, moderate scattered marks, several light dings, and freckling near the cross guard. Each side of the blade has a blue panel denoting the "2. Garde Feldartillerie Regt." and "Zur Erinnerung am Meine Dienstzeit". Wire wrapped trylon grip is has several nicks with heavy patina to the wire which has a number of loose strands. Nickel plated fittings retain approximately 60% of the finish, with patina, freckling, and scattered marks. Black painted steel scabbard retains approximately 60% of its original finish, with freckling and scattered marks throughout. CONDITION: Overall very good condition.
