Lot consists of: (A) M1 helmet with frogskin camouflage cover and post WWII liner. This helmet is a WWII front seam fixed bale helmet with partial heat stamp that reads something along the lines of "791". The helmet has WWII fixed bales with post WWII chin strap. The camouflage cover is not marked or dated but has weave stitching that is found on WWII-Korean War USMC helmet covers. The liner is marked "US / 47 / M11". CONDITION: The Helmet exhibits various scuffs and scratches and retains about 75% of its paint. The cover shows evidence of being torn and repaired. The liner is in very good condition with almost all of its original paint and original hardware. Overall good. (B) Vietnam War Era US M1 rear seam swivel bale helmet with camouflage cover and liner. The helmet heat stamp is not visible and retains almost all of its original paint. The camouflage cover is marked "Cover Helmet Camouflage / Contract No. 8189". Liner is marked "US / 13" CONDITION: Helmet is in excellent condition and cover is very clean. Liner has slight blemishes to the paint and the original hardware is sturdy and intact. Overall excellent. (C) Vietnam War Era US M1 rear seam swivel bale helmet with camouflage cover and liner. The helmet heat stamp is not visible. The liner is marked "US / 71". CONDITION: The helmet is salty, it retains most of its original paint but it is cracking and chipping in some areas. The camouflage cover displays some blemishes but is otherwise clean. The liner exhibits tarnishing inside and out. The leather sweatband is cracking but the interior is intact. Overall good (D) US M1 front seam swivel bale helmet with camouflage cover and liner. The shell was manufactured during WWII and refit with post WWII swivel bales and reissued. The cover is marked with US military specifications. Liner is "M26" on the interior. CONDITION: Helmet shell is in poor condition, as it is missing most of the paint on the exterior and all of the interior paint. The cover is heavily tarnished. Liner has scratches and scuffs but retains its hardware. Overall poor. JD Name Value Paperwork
