Title: Lot of eight 19th century children's games and other items Author: Place: Publisher: Date: 19th century Description: Lot of seven 19th Century children’s games, including: Anagrams, Peter G. Thomson, Cincinnati. Game of Old Maid, McLoughlin NY. Word Making and Taking, B.M. Hammett, NY and C.E. Hammett Jr. Newport, RI. (A game box full of individual letters, nice). Game of Authors, McLoughlin, NY. A small wooden box with latch hook containing a set of miniature dominoes, (no identification). A nicely dovetailed box with the label, Occupational Material for the Kindergarten, Gift no.5, manufactured by Milton Bradley Co. Springfield, Mass. Appears to be some kind of game with blocks, and looks to be complete, (at least the box is evenly packed full of blocks). The last game would be after the turn of the century as it is Touring, The Famous Automobile Card Game, improved edition, Parker Bros. Salem, MA. (looks complete with a set of folding directions). Milton Bradley color map puzzle of the U.S. complete with 16 pieces, and showing insets of the Philippines, Alaska, Porto Rico and Hawaii, nd, fine, but with no box. A tin drum penny bank. A box of glass microscope slides, and some other miscellaneous personal items as a straight edge razor, some pocket purses and a handful of other wooden game parts. Provenance: The Calvin Otto collection. Lot Amendments Condition: Condition mixed , but a nice lot in an archival museum box, sold as is. Item number: 249861
