All five books limited to 1500 copies signed in the colophons by the illustrator, printer, or designer. Various binding styles and sizes. Nice run of early LECs. The first title illustrated and signed by John Austen; the second signed by printer Oliver Simon; the third signed by type designer George W. Jones; the fourth illustrated and signed by Richard Floethe the last illustrated and signed by Alexander King. Lot Amendments Condition: Aristophanes fine in worn two-piece slipcase; Carlyle with fading to spine, else very good in worn slipcase lacking top panel; Chaucer very good in worn slipcase lacking bottom panel; De Coster fine in worn slipcase lacking top panel; Fielding near very good, with rubbing to leather spine, split to front joint, in glassine jacket and bumped slipcase.
