Lot of Twenty-four Works: American School, 19th/20th Century, American and European Landscapes, Including Views of Port Jervis, New York, Raymondskill Falls, Pennsylvania, Grenada, Spain, and the Firth of Clyde, Scotland, most signed "W Hunt" l.l. or l.r. and inscribed "...W. Hunt/ 165 S. Elliot Place/ Brooklyn/ N.Y./ Between 1850-1865" on the reverse, watercolor on paper, sheet sizes to 12 1/2 x 20 in.; Charles Baker (American, 1844-1906), Crashing Waves, signed and dated "Chas. BAKER 1897" l.r., watercolor on paper, sheet size 7 3/4 x 13 1/2 in.; all unframed. Condition: Most mounted to mat, Grenada with break, toning, losses. Provenance: From the artist to a relative of the first wife of Dr. William H. Roe (1871-1936), Patchogue, Long Island; by descent to his second wife, Alice G. (Robinson) Roe (1894-1970, married to Dr. Roe in 1935); by family descent.
