Half-title, title in red and black with engraved vignette, engraved portrait of Ferdinand II of Tuscany by Franciscus Spierre, 75 full-page engraved illustrations, engraved and woodcut head- and tailpieces and initials (some leaves browned, a few marginal tears, small marginal wormholes in a few leaves). Contemporary speckled sheep (neatly rebacked with red lettering piece). Provenance : Dr. Giolucca Durafly ? (signature on half-title dated 1667 with "mandato del F Cont de Medici" in a different hand); partially erased library stamp on title and verso of title. FIRST EDITION, second issue. Dibner 82.
