Swan No. 8 fountain pen, the compostion body with herring-bone decoration and gilt clip, in maker's cardboard carton, purported to have been given to U Maung Maung Ji (1900-1973) by Mahatma Gandhi; together with a large quantity of personal letters, press photographs and ephemera relating to Maung Ji, including a one-page typed letter, signed by Richard Attenborough's secretary, Gladys Barnes, referring to the spectacles and fountain pen.
