Milan: Petrum Martirem de Mantegacii, Johannis Iacobi & the Legnano brothers,16 September 1505. 4to (198 x 139 mm). 92 ff., later ink pagination upper left corner starts on second leaf. Printer’s woodcut device to opening leaf, large nine-line opening initial ‘A’, numerous three-line woodcut chapter initials throughout. Contemporary vellum over boards, ms. title to spine. Condition : scattered marginal notations and underlines, small paper repair to front free endpaper, dampstains often to 1/3 of the page, occasional soiling; pastedowns cockled, boards slightly bowed, corners bumped. Provenance : S. Zilber (inscription to opening leaf). The 1505 edition (possible third printing) of Mancinelli’s “Opuscula Elegantiae Portus. Laurentii Vallensis Lima. Rheotricen ad herennium esse Ciceronis. Rhetorices ad herennium Commentariolus. Domici Palladii Sorani Carmen …” from 1493. Hain 10603*.
