[Edo: 1865.] Black ink and res wash on mulberry paper, 270 x 370 mm. Showing the country without Hokkaido, but marking and naming the principal provinces and islands, the colors denoting allegiances to the Toguwara Clan. A few worm tracks to sea areas, some damp-staining along the margins. WITH: Manuscript map of Japan titled "Emperor Jimmu historical map," on mulberry paper, black ink and many color washes, [c.1830]. 280 x 500 mm. The map showing Emperor Jimmu's ancient travels around Japan naming the principal provinces, listings along upper and right borders, describing money, temples, the history of the country and rulers. A few worm tracks at lower right margin. WITH: A two volume atlas of Japan, dated Tempo 8 [1837]. Woodblock maps of the provinces of the country, 8vo. Original yellow-papered covers. WITH: A Japanese woodblock Atlas of China (Nanjing and Beijing provinces) written in kambun script with phonetics for Japanese use, 62 pp, [Edo: c.1830.] 8vo. Original blue papered covers.
