Taped to mount in several locations on verso, central crease from insertion in an atlas (remains of guard on verso), but overall an attractive example; framed. This map covers the East Coast of the United States from the Carolinas to Nova Scotia. It shows Manhattan as New Amsterdam as well as the Hudson River. It was a reengraving of the De Laet-Gerritsz map published in Leyden circa 1630, but without the inclusion of the vignette map of Bermuda and with the addition of decorative elements. C Estates of M.
