Medieval Gilt 'Burgh Family' Heraldic Pendant 14th-15th century AD A gilt bronze disc mount with central motif depicting a heater shield within a pelletted border, surrounded by a Lombardic script legend 'AVE MARIA GRACIA' (Hail Mary full of Grace); shield decorated with red enamelled cross, possibly the arms (or a cross gules) associated with the Anglo-Irish Burgh family; pierced to the top for suspension. 5 grams, 23mm (1").
