Coxe Author: Bandini, Ralph Place: Bronson, MI Publisher: Bronson Reel Company Date: 1936 Description: [6], 88 pp. Illustrated with plates from photographs. 9x6, green leatherette stamped in silver. First Edition. Scarce, privately printed book of considerable interest. Includes a chapter on the development of the famous Coxe reels, later marketed under the name Coxe-Bronson. Coxe fished with Captain George Farnsworth and pioneered not only reels and tackle, but also big game fishing techniques. Also, a description of the famous "San Clemente Sea Monster." The title-page states "First numbered edition," but copies were not numbered. This copy with ownership signature of Irving Parker Stone dated 1936. Lot Amendments Condition: Minor bump to top corner; about fine. Item number: 162987
