WARD, TO COMMEMORATE THE HISTORIC CONQUEST OF MOUNT EVEREST BY THE 1953 BRITISH EXPEDITION, BY THE DIRECTORS OF BENJAMIN EDGINGTON (SILVER & EDGINGTON LTD)' beneath, marked on side and cover, with cedar wood lining Birmingham, 1952/53, maker's mark G Ltd in two cartouches 4 3/8 x 6 5/8 x 1¾in.
