Mid 16th-century Saxonian bookbinding of blindstamped pigskin over paste or wooden boards, with a central hand-colored blindstamped portrait of Melanchthon on upper cover and a figure of Justice on lower cover, surrounded by a medaillion head roll-tool, dated 1567, the portrait plate signed with initials "A.M." (Adam or Abraham Müller) of Wittenberg colored in gold, red, blue and turquoise. Haebler, Rollen- und Plattenstempel, p.276.
