D, 146th Illinois Infantry (m/o 7/8/65), 2nd Lieut. Charles R. Frank, Co. I, 4th and 12th Illinois Cavalry with another CDV size tintype unidentified. Also, two lithographs of Lincoln and one of Martha Washington plus two unmounted albumens of Admiral Porter and Farragut. One interesting albumen measuring 4.5 x 3" is an 1875-80 photograph of the navy paddle-wheel steamer USS Rio Bravo employed by the Department of Texas on the Rio Grande and based Brownsville. The other albumen is an old copy shot of an earlier Civil War photograph depicting Capt. Wm. John Anderson amongst a group of infantry and bandsmen. There is an arrow pointing to William Anderson who enlisted as 1st sergeant in Co. K, 99th Pennsylvania in November 1861 and ended the war a brevet captain in July 1865. The last mounted view is #568. Where Sumner's Corps Charged at Antietam with printed description on verso. Sold to a weary public by the War Photograph & Exhibition Company in a last ditch effort late in the century to capitalize on the work of Brady and others. Condition: CDVs overall G. Albumens worn and soiled, one with chipped edges, about G. Antietam view VG+ with clean mount.
