Place: Boston Publisher: Estes and Lauriat Date: 1884 Description: 96 pp. Illustrated with 25 steel engraved plates. 4to. Original blue cloth, stamped and lettered in black and gilt, all edges gilt. A beautifully illustrated album of views of such celebrated beauty spots as Mount Holyoke, Niagara Falls, Baltimore, Philadelphia, etc., executed by William Henry Bartlett and Thomas Creswick with an anonymous descriptive text well larded with reprinted passages in prose and rhyme by a variety of authors, including John Greenleaf Whittier, Washington Irving, Lord Byron, and Mrs. Sigourney. BAL 22969. Lot Amendments Condition: Some wear to corners and extremities of spine, else near fine. Item number: 185538
