A fine and rare 18K gold water-resistant chronograph wristwatch with two-tone silvered dial Signed Movado, ref. 9038, case no. 22, retailed by Cartier, Paris, No. 019135, circa 1950 Cal. 95 M nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, metal dust cap, the two-tone silvered dial with applied gold dagger numerals, outer black five minute divisions and blue tachymetre scale, three engine-turned subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, in circular water-resistant-type case with stepped bezel, downturned angular lugs, screw back, two round chronograph buttons in the band, case signed and numbered by Movado, outside with hand-stamped Cartier reference numbers, French Assay marks and engraved Paris 18K, dial signed Cartier, movement signed Movado 35 mm. diam.
