High condition Colt M16A2 machine gun with heavy barrel Colt LMG upper, complete with carrying handle, adjustable legs bipod, and large rectangular handguard with vertical forend post. Accessory Trijicon ACOG optic affixed to upper assembly forward of adjustable for both windage and elevation rear sight. No forward assist on this upper. Selector is “Safe”, “Semi”, and “Auto”. Typical Colt logo and address on left side of receiver. Top of barrel is marked, “MP 5.56 11437”. Electronic NFA Registry indicates “COLT” as the manufacturer. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J. R. Moody. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish with sticky residue on bottom of handguard where there was probably some felt to protect it from the bipod legs at some point. Small pieces of felt at carrying handle and attachment nut for ACOG optic to protect original finish. The consignor was exceptionally careful to preserve his firearms in top condition. Bore near excellent shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun.
