One of the best Beretta Model 38A machine guns to become available in recent years. This gun was brought back by a veteran who gave it to his rather young nephew as a gift. Electronic registry indicates “ITALIAN” as the manufacturer. This is a fine, visible numbers matching Beretta model 38A with 1 rather rare 20-round magazine as these guns were originally supplied with. Marked on receiver with crown over “RE” indicating Italian Army issue, this gun has typical receiver markings and includes date “1943- XXI” Other markings include stock cartouche “UT” as well as matching serial number. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine original finish with some scattered brown patina and a coating of some kind of lacquer on both metal and wood. There are typical dings and handling marks to the wood but overall, this is an extremely attractive piece. Bore is extremely fine, shiny, and bright. Bolt is extremely fine.
