Very popular short-barreled blued model of the Ruger AC-556 with folding stock. 3-position selector for semi-automatic, fully automatic, and 3-shot burst. No magazine present. Detachable sling swivel. Left side of folding stock has small Velcro tab. This is a very handy and fun machine gun to shoot. Originally designed for US Navy and the civilian market, Ruger found an unexpectedly vibrant market for this model in France where the law enforcement took to it readily in its demilitarized form. Mechanics are crisp. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J. R. Moody. CONDITION: Overall appearance extremely fine original commercial blued finish with slight loss of finish at the bolt and charging handle contact points. Wood is near mint with perhaps the slightest handling marks under close inspection. There is some adhesive residue on left side of shoulder extension. Bore is near excellent, shiny, and bright. Bolt face also near excellent with preservative grease. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. The Ruger AC-556 is a fine entry-level machine gun and this model with its folding stock is a nice compact package. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
