Natali (Pietro) Sanctorum Catalogus: Vitas, passiones [et] Miracula co[m] modissime annectens, edited by Antonio Verlo, third edition, frontispiece printed in red and black within woodcut ornamental border incorporating busts of Fathers of the Church, Gothic letter, double column, small vignettes in text and historiated initials showing Saints’ portraits and martyrdoms throughout, occasional spotting or marking, some intermittent staining, contemporary marginalia, small paper flaw affecting text to N4, burn holes to gutter of a couple of leaves, slightly later vellum over boards, soiled, 4to, G. Giunta, Venice, 1542. *** Illustrated work on hagiography, including stories of circa 1000 Saints (biographies and miracles). The first edition was printed in 1493 in Vicenza without illustrations. Little is known on Pietro Natali bishop of Jesolo.
