Includes [3-562, 3-570, 3-573, 3-579, 3-580, 3-591, 3-595, 3-596, and 3-602G], with several examples classified as "Rare" [3-562, 3-573], "Very Rare" [3-579, 3-596], or "Unique" [3-602G] in Berg. Cases contain eleven portraits of men, women, and children, highlighted by a daguerreotype of a man with a goatee and curly hair [3-595], a tintype of a grumpy young girl holding a miniature rocking horse [3-596], and a tintype of four well-dressed young men with walking sticks [3-596]. Provenance:Paul K. Berg Collection of Nineteenth Century Photographic Cases and Wall Frames Condition: 3-562: light wear including chipping to front cover at 11 o'clock. 3-570: light surface wear. 3-573: light wear including minor surface abrasions. 3-579: light wear including chipping along interior rims of front and back covers. 3-580: light surface wear. 3-591: light surface wear. 3-595: light surface wear most apparent at edges/corners. 3-596: light surface wear. 3-602G: light surface wear with small crack to back cover at top hinge.
