Lot of 12 photographs of various sizes featuring individuals or groups clad in unusual attire for various events and celebrations. The lot includes a cabinet card showing a crowd of people, mostly men, gathered around the Liberty Bell, possibly for some sort of ceremony, credited to Saunders, Wellington, OH, and five real photo postcards with German inscriptions, ca 1930, with images capturing scenes from a parade, including groups of young people dressed as devils and a thirteen-piece coffee service. Other images of note present "living marionettes" Wilby Lunn and Connie Hart, ca 1930s, a troupe of fourteen men in checkered suits, and four pairs of young children in Colonial-style dress with raised hands. Provenance:Steve Roden Collection: Music in Vernacular Photographs Condition: Condition varies, generally with light toning and wear to edges.
