Valladolid: Sebastian Martinez, 1556. 8° (192 x 136mm). Collation: A-H 8 . Title printed in red and black within woodcut border, woodcut initials. (A few leaves with minor paper flaws touching a few letters, a few leaves with marginal repairs.) Red morocco, spine in compartments, red morocco liners with elaborate gilt border, by V. Artas, edges gauffered and gilt. Rare edition of the earliest Spanish cookbook, originally published under this title in Castillian in 1525, and under a different title in 1520. Palau 192540; Bitting p.344; Vicaire cites the 1529 and 1544 editions, and Brunet the 1577.
