Lithograph title sheet with 22 Major Arcana on 19 additional lithographed sheets, one sheet for each Major Arcana, except four cards, XII Le Pendu, XIII La Mort, XIV Temperance and XV Le Diable which are reduced in size to fit on one sheet. 38x28 cm (15x11"), presented in original cloth-covered drop-back box stamped on cover in gilt. No. 201 of an edition limited to 250 sets. Each major arcana plate is signed and numbered in pencil by Norman LaLiberté. Artitst's stamp on reverse of each plate. "A Tarot Deck consists of 78 cards, 76 of which are contained in 4 suits called the minor arcana. Far more significant than these are the 22 additional picture cards known as the major arcana or trump cards. The major arcana cards, numbered from 0 to 21 and a 22nd unnumbered card resembling a joker, each bear a title which represents a distinct element in nature. The picture symbols of the major arcana which are depicted in this portfolio of lithographs, are drawn from a deep store of images common to all men,, images which appear in dreams, in thhe visions of saints and prophets, and in the creative fantasies of artists and poets." -Introduction.
