A fine series of prints engraved by Francesco Novelli; they were originally attributed to Andrea Mantegna on their discovery in the eighteenth century but are now considered to be by the Bolognese artist Marco Zoppo (1432?-1478?). Most copies contain only 44 plates, but the present copy contains all fifty, and these are in the second state, with plate numbers up to no.42. The original drawings are now in the British Museum.
