The chimerical Northwest Passage and Straits of Anian (just north of "Fou-Sang", the equally mythical Chinese colony) are clearly depicted. Though dated 1776, the map was issued as No. 15 in Zatta's Atlas, I, dated 1779-1785. Wagner notes "A Vaugondy mixture of old and new names as far south as the end of the peninsula."
