[Obstetrics] RÖSSLIN, Eucharius Het kleyn vroetwijfs-boek ofte Vermeerderden roosengaert, van de bevruchte vrouwen [...]. Amsterdam, Michiel de Groot, 12mo: 61-[3], ff. (margins of title and following ff. def., upper margin last f. def. touching some letters). Old vellum (reused, endpapers renewed), flat ink titled spine. Later edition of the Dutch adaptation of the famous work on midwifery "Der Swangern Frauen und Hebammen Rosengarten" (by the German physician Rösslin (1470?-1526). This Dutch text was first published and translated by Thomas vander Noot, Brussels Ill. with a woodcut on title and woodcuts in-text. Very important textbook for midwifes, surviving editions, being used as late as Complete with the appendix at the end. Printed in gothic type. Ref. STCN. - Krivatsy (= Daniels and Moes 21). - Bibl.
