one containing numerous British and continental views including a series of 9 finely coloured aquatints of Heidelberg by or after J.J. Meyer, 16 similar Swiss views and costume studies by various hands, also numerous portraits and figure studies including caricatures, and an ALs by the Duke of Wellington, dated 1833; another album of almost entirely equestrian interest, mostly prints and early photographs of race horses, including 2 mezzotints after Sartorius and Stubbs, and an equestrian caricature of Lord Mulgrave by Gillray, 'A View of the Pier of Scarborough', [BM Satires 10790], many portraits and biographies of owners and jockeys; the other 2 albums containing a mixture of amateur watercolours, a few 19th and ealry 20th century photographs, numerous Victorian colour-printed Christmas and other cards, mostly mounted on album leaves, some loose, some trimmed, ocasional surface dirt, creasing and short tears at edges, various bindings, worn, some boards detached, 4to and folio, 19th-early 20th century (4)
