Drawing features a large portrait of William McKinley flanked by slightly smaller portraits of Abraham Lincoln and James Garfield Below title, a young lady holds a flag pole extending from a Union shield while the flag drapes down over McKinley's portrait. Smith Collection of Lincolniana Lots 328-342 include several selections from the collection of Mr. & Mrs. Jack L. Smith of South Bend, Indiana. Inspired by his wife Pat, an antique dealer, Jack began collecting photographs of Abraham Lincoln in 1959, and over the years expanded his interests to include Lincoln-related engravings, books, ephemera, and art, eventually amassing one of the most extensive collections of Lincolniana in existence. Items from the collection now reside at several museums and historic sites, including at the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, and Indiana Historical Society, which acquired the Jack Smith Lincoln Graphics Collection of over 750 images in 2003.
