He served abroad at Gibraltar, Malta and the Ionian Islands for 10 years 6 months, and in the East Indies fro 2 years 7 months. He was promoted to Corporal in April 1838, and to Sergeant in January 1839, and was discharged ‘unfit for further service’ on 26 September 1848. Sold with copied discharge papers and medal roll extract.
