Bex: E. Thomas, 1818. With the final blank. FIRST EDITION. Further editions appeared in 1837 and 1841. Pritzel 9220. [ And :] Notice des tableaux et autres objets d'art composant le musée de Bruxelles . Brussels: L. Poublon, 1819. [ And :] The Court of the Beasts . London: for the author, and sold by Darton and Harvey, 1808. 4 engraved plates by H.R. Cook, with the final blank (frontispiece detached). FIRST EDITION. Osborne p.627: 'An imitation of Roscoe's Butterfly's ball ... which describes a fête arranged by King Lion'. Contemporary half calf, gilt spine (rubbed. joints becoming worn). MANUSCRIPT entitled 'A Nice Creed', [England, c.1793]. 1½pp., 4°. A very amusing parody of the Nicene Creed directed against William Pitt the Younger and Henry Dundas where Pitt represents God, Dundas Christ, George III the Holy Ghost and Paper Money and National Bankruptcy the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. '... and went into Scotland, and was there burnt in Effigy [4 June 1792], and the third Day came back again, (according to the Newspapers) and ascended into Office, and sitteth at the right hand of his Patron ...'
